As part of Leica S-League of photographers, the legendary camera company recently sent Mannion down to New Orleans to shot a 26 page editorial for the second issue of their beautifully printed S Magazine – a publication dedicated to showcasing photographer’s work with the S-System of cameras.
The idea for the project was sparked during a conversation Mannion had with Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def) about what he finds inspirational about New Orleans and eventually evolved into an amazing 9 day photo adventure in the Crescent City. During the trip Mannion captured portraits and video of the artists, business owners, and people who make NOLA the incredibly rich and vibrant city that it is.
